Acumatica 2022 R1, Acumatica’s first of two annual product updates, is set to be released mid-March 2022. The enhancements to our native mobile app will help users work smarter, not harder no matter their location.
Traditionally, Acumatica’s first of two annual product updates is introduced during our annual Summit. Seeing no reason to break tradition, we presented Acumatica 2022 R1, to an enthusiastic Acumatica Summit 2022 audience during the Day 2 Keynote. For those who were unable to attend, we’re revealing our cloud ERP solution improvements in a three-part blog series focused on the new release’s themes:
- Work Smart on the Go
- Unlock Global Markets
- Go Broad and Deep with Industry-Leading Capabilities
Today, we’ll examine how ERP mobility transforms the way businesses operate in our digital and pandemic-altered world.
ERP Mobility for Today’s Remote and Hybrid Workforce
The pandemic fundamentally changed the workplace. Lockdowns forced businesses to shift employees from working onsite to offsite in a short amount of time. Though pandemic measures have eased, many businesses still employ a remote workforce in whole or in part (e.g., a hybrid workplace). Businesses already deploying an offsite workforce, such as Acumatica customer Quality Material Handling, Inc. (QMH), were still affected by the rapid—and unexpected—changes.
QMH is a 30-year, multi-million-dollar-business that specializes in material handling products and storage solutions. Founded by Hector Pinto and his wife, Brenda, the company manages office and warehouse staff, as well as a traveling sales team. Prior to Acumatica, QMH was running on manual processes and disconnected systems, which their sales team members could not access from the road. The company also suffered from inaccurate accounting, complicated processes, and mismanaged inventory.
After being introduced to Acumatica and its superior ERP usability, Hector says, “I was sold in the first three minutes.”
There are also technology improvements, such as warnings for non-certified customization packages, anomaly detection, and more. Doug Johnson, Acumatica’s VP of Product Management, demonstrated the new features and functionality during the Day 2 Keynote (available on-demand; Doug’s mobile app demonstration starts at approximately 22:00).
Work Smart on the Go
Acumatica’s native mobile app is specifically designed for staff and field service personnel who are on the go. With their web-enabled device, users can access Acumatica’s cloud ERP solution in real time. In addition to leveraging the camera or fingerprint reader to upload images and capture receipts, they can manage time reporting, approvals, and task management from any location. And they don’t have to input the information into a separate system manually. Instead, information captured and entered in the field is automatically updated and synced in Acumatica.
Hector says, “[Acumatica is] very simple to use. I can drill into the information that I want to see, and it gives me what I need. I love the fact that it has a mobile app, and I can pull things up on my phone from home to create a quote really quick. I also love how customers are already in the system, and it can send a quote or invoice automatically. I never thought I would be so excited to use it myself, but once I got using the new solution, I found I love it.”
The Acumatica 2022 R1 updates provide even more reasons to love Acumatica’s affordable, flexible, and award-winning cloud ERP solution.
